How do you train skills in Ultima Online?
The initial 30 or so points in a skill can be gained by being trained by an NPC; in order to train a skill, single left click on the npc to see a context menu listing what skills he will train, click on the skill in the list.
What does focus skill do in Ultima Online?
Focus skill has two main functions; it could be defined as the “Warrior’s Meditation Skill”, it is also the support skill for Mysticism, enhancing the mystic’s spells in the same way as Evaluate Intelligence skill supports Magery skill. It increases both a player’s Mana and Stamina regeneration.

This method of training requires a few setup procedures.
- Acquire a 100% poison mage weapon, Make sure that the weapon you get does not have any hit spell on it. If it does, it will make this method unfeasible.
- Acquire a set of +20 (or greater) jewelry in mage skill.
- Join a guild if you are not in one already.
Which Ultima should I start with?
The general recommended starting points are your choice of Ultima 4 (my personal favorite) and Ultima 7 – Ultima 4 is older and perhaps a little ‘clunkier’ interface-wise, so people often find it more difficult to get into, whereas Ultima 7 is more recent and perhaps a little more accessible to a wider audience.
