How do I change the cartridge in my Moen shower faucet?

Once you have all the items you need, here is how to remove and replace a Moen shower/tub faucet cartridge:

  1. Turn off Water to the Shower.
  2. Remove the Faucet Handle.
  3. Remove the Escutcheon (Optional)
  4. Remove the Cartridge.
  5. Install the New Cartridge.
  6. Connect the Handle and Test the new Cartridge.
