How do I download X-Plane scenery?
Installing Add-On Scenery Packs
- Unzip the downloaded file.
- Move the unzipped scenery package folder to X-Plane 11 > Custom Scenery.
- Restart X-Plane and enjoy!
- You may need to adjust the scenery loading order of X-Plane. We have an awesome video tutorial on that available below.

Where do a10 pilots train?
Davis-Monthan
Davis-Monthan is the center of A-10 training. Pilots take their first flight in the train here, and finish training ready to fly into battle. First Lieutenant Christopher Brian is suiting up for a day of learning to fly the A-10.
Do flight simulator hours count?
You can view a recording online. While almost any task or maneuver can be practiced in the simulator, the FAA does point out some items that you cannot count towards the 2.5 hours of credit for the private pilot certificate.
What version of X-plane do I need to play the scenery?
The scenery requires at least X-Plane 10.25 (beginning with 10.25 beta 1) which provides quite a few new terrain types/textures which this scenery relies on! Without it, your X-Plane will very likely crash on scenery load!
What is the difference between global scenery and X-Plane 10?
It is a much higher resolution base mesh (more, smaller triangles) compared to the default Global Scenery which ships with X-Plane 10 (one could say: approximately 3-4-times more dense). This has been increased over v2!
Is there a database for X-Plane scenery?
The database was created as there did not seem to be any order to the scenery that was available for X-Plane. We search for X-Plane scenery across the Internet (not just the .org) so you don’t have to!
Should X-crafts add-ons be made from scratch?
Recreating everything from scratch can also often result in issues and bugs rendering the products much less enjoyable or even inoperable. I want the X-Crafts add-ons to stand for being reliable and to “Just work”.
