Are Brinsea incubators good?
In my experience, the best incubator is a broody Hen. However, this Brinsea is the next best thing. It does all the work for you (almost). You have complete control of the temperature, humidity, egg turning and even periodic cool downs (to replicate a hens behavior).

What does flashing P mean on Brinsea incubator?
5.2 POWER LOSS DISPLAY – If power has been interrupted due to a power cut (or when first switching on) a “P” is shown flashing in the corner of the display. Press OK for 2 or more seconds to clear the indicator. If the reason for the power loss is not known check the power cable connections are secure.

How do you adjust the humidity on a Brinsea incubator?
So to increase humidity levels fill the second vessel (or if both are dry, fill one) and reduce ventilation by either adjusting the control or blocking up to half of the ventilation holes. Some ventilation must be maintained to allow the chicks to breath. Refer to the operator instructions for your model.

It is recommended that poultry, game and waterfowl eggs are turned a minimum of twice a day – ideally more often. Automatic turning is often hourly. Some species (parrots and birds of prey) need turning at least every hour. The chicks in my machine are only part formed (very early death).
