You can check the mailing status here: dmv.ny.gov/driver-license…. If it was returned undeliverable or you should have received it by now, DM us with your 9-digit ID or full name and full date of birth, and we will check on it.
How long does it take for your license to come in the mail NY?

We mail your license, learner permit or non-driver ID to the address we have our records. Allow 2 weeks to receive the document. If your document is not delivered two weeks after the date the document was processed, you can send a question to us online, call the DMV or contact a DMV office.

Pre Covid, it usually takes 2 weeks, but due to current circumstances, probably longer. It gets updated once they send your full licence out to you. You can still drive whilst you are waiting for your full licence, you just need to keep your pass certificate on you.
