One of my favorite things to apply htv on is wood, it adheres better than adhesive vinyl and gives a more finished look.

How do you seal an ornament vinyl?

To apply the vinyl, center your design on the ornament and press the center of the design down first. Then work outward, smoothing the vinyl as you go. The slits that you cut in the transfer tape will help you to “bend” the vinyl around the ornament. Peel off the transfer tape and you have a beautiful custom ornament.

What size should vinyl be for ornaments?

When you’re designing your vinyl, you want to make sure your decoration isn’t too big. The bigger it is, the harder it’s going to be to apply. For this one, I want to make my vinyl around 1.5 inches wide which will cover a nice amount of the front but without it being so big that it’s going to cover the whole thing.

When the stickers are firmly in place, whether it is by gluing them or starting with stickers that stick to plastic, you need to seal them with two or three coats of decoupage glue. This step permanently adheres the stickers to the plastic surface, and it also protects the stickers from wear and tear.

  3. Step 3: Add the Glitter and Coat the Inside of the Ornament.
  4. Step 4: Let the Ornament Dry.
  5. Step 5: Add Vinyl Personalization to One or Both Sides of the Ornament.
  6. Step 6: Replace the Hanging Top to the Ornament.

How do you attach vinyl to acrylic ornaments?

Remove the backing off the front side of the acrylic ornament blank. What is this? Apply transfer tape to your vinyl and scrape it down. If you are using two different colors of vinyl, you can apply them both on to one piece of transfer tape or apply them to the ornament one by one.
