How long is the ABO exam?
2 ½ hours
Exams are given only in English, via computer and each exam is 2 ½ hours long. You must be at least 18 years old, and a high school graduate or have earned a GED or the equivalent in order to take the exams. ABO & NCLE reserves the right to require that you produce proof of eligibility at any time.

Are exam fees paid to the ABO refundable?
*All fees paid to the ABO including, but not limited to annual fees, verification, and exam registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. The ABO is approved under Section 3689 for test fee reimbursement with GI Bill funds for eligible examinees.
