Why do you choose nursing?
Nursing is all about the patient. It’s a career that helps you save lives, bring happiness to individuals and their families, and comfort to those in need. While caring for patients fighting for their life can be a challenging experience, nurses still report a high level of job satisfaction.
Why Being a nurse is important to me?
Being a nurse means patients in your care must be able to trust you. It means treating your patients with respect, kindness, and compassion while demonstrating your knowledge, skill, and passion. Nursing is my profession. It means taking care of people who are not able to take care of themselves due to illness.
Why is it important to study nursing?
Nursing is a rewarding career focused on helping others. Most of all, and perhaps the number one reason why one should study nursing, is that it is a rewarding and satisfying field. Nurses are trusted and respected professionals. This is why so many nurses love what they do.
Why do you love being a nurse?
As a nurse, I have the pleasure of meeting people with diverse backgrounds from all walks of life. For me, and for the nurses I work alongside, patients are more than just patients — they’re people. I enjoy getting to know my patients and their families.
What do you love about nursing?
I thoroughly enjoy caring for my patients and love mentoring new nurses. The things I love most about being a nurse include the variety of areas to practice in, the constant opportunities to focus on others, and those 12-hour shifts! If I had to go back to a Monday–Friday schedule, I don’t know if I’d survive!

What is respect in nursing?
Nurses and midwives respect each person as a unique individual. Nurses and midwives respect and defend the dignity of every stage of human life. Nurses and midwives respect and maintain their own dignity and that of patients in their professional practice. They believe that this respect is mutual with patients.
Why is honesty important as a nurse?
