What does an MRI with DTI show?

Diffusion tensor imaging tractography, or DTI tractography, is an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) technique that measures the rate of water diffusion between cells to understand and create a map of the body’s internal structures; it is most commonly used to provide imaging of the brain.

Is DTI the same as MRI?

DTI is an MRI technique that assesses the directionality and motion of water molecules and provides images of white matter tracts within the central nervous system (CNS). Conventional MRI techniques do not provide any information about the anatomy of white matter tracts and connectivity of different brain regions.

How much is a DTI MRI?

Results: The total direct costs of DTI and MR tractography for a 1.5-T system with 15 encoding directions were US $97. Variable cost was $76.80 and fixed cost was $20.20.

What DTI do lenders look for?

As a general guideline, 43% is the highest DTI ratio a borrower can have and still get qualified for a mortgage. Ideally, lenders prefer a debt-to-income ratio lower than 36%, with no more than 28% of that debt going towards servicing a mortgage or rent payment.

How long does a DTI MRI take?

Table 1

Quantity Measurement Reference
neuron cell body diameter 50 μm or more [85]
voxel size in diffusion MRI 2.5×2.5×2.5 mm
typical diffusion time in DTI 30–100ms [42, 34]
mean water diffusion distance 1-15 μm (in 50-100 ms) [42]

How long does a DTI scan take?

The exam usually takes 1 to 2 hours. It is important that you relax and lie as still as possible. Any movement during this time will blur the picture. You may be given an injection of contrast dye into your arm or through an IV to enhance the images.
