Is it worth joining AIA?
It’s definitely been worth it for me. If you’re a new grad and can take advantage of the free membership deal, there’s really no reason not to join even if your local chapter isn’t as active.
What happens if you let your AIA membership lapse?
Lapsed membership Members whose membership lapses for nonpayment of dues in the current year may pay to activate their membership before the end of the current membership year. If they don’t pay their dues by December 31, they will have to be reinstated.
