How do you use Pevaryl cream?
Apply twice daily to the affected part and rub into the skin gently with the finger. The usual treatment duration is 2 to 4 weeks. If no improvement in symptoms is experienced after 4 weeks, the treatment should be reassessed.
How do you insert a pessary tablet?
Lie on your back with your knees bent and legs slightly apart. Gently insert the pessary (pointed end first) or applicator into the vagina, as far as comfortably possible. If using an applicator, push the plunger until it stops to release the pessary into the vagina. Then, remove the applicator from the vagina.
Can you still use thrush cream on your period?
Do not use tampons or other vaginal products while you’re using the pessary. Do not use pessaries during your period – wait until your period has finished.
Can you use Pevaryl in the morning?
4.2 Dose and method of administration PEVARYL Foaming Solution should be applied to the wet body on three consecutive evenings. The foam should not be rinsed off but allowed to dry. The drug should develop its effect during the nights and may be removed the next morning by washing it off.
Can I go to the toilet after inserting a pessary?
Once the pessary is inserted you will be asked to cough and bear down to test if the pessary is fitted securely. Some women will also be asked to go to the toilet to pass urine to ensure they have no voiding problems. If the pessary falls out in the toilet do not panic, inform your consultant or specialist nurse.
Can you have a bath after using a pessary?
The pessary will need to be reinserted. What can I do and not do at home? You can walk about, wash (bath or shower), eat and drink and relax as you would normally do. We recommend you do not have sexual intercourse, or insert objects or medication into the vagina.

Based on pooled safety data from these clinical trials, the most commonly reported adverse reactions were (with % incidence) pruritus (1.2%) and skin burning sensation (1.2%).
